Grab A Pew. Enjoy…
I hope Christmas preparations are going well for you all. I’ve a few things I want to share, so sit up, and listen up.
Wanna make money?
Firstly, I’m interested in anyone who is selling advertising space. No, I’m not going to be advertising this blog, or any other blog of mine. But, if you have a blog, and you’d be able to accommodate advertising for a freelance related site, then contact me. Obviously send me your url, traffic details, advertising slots (125×125 ads, banner ads, links, etc).
If you know of any other site, which is offering advertising space, in which freelancing related ads wouldn’t be out of place, then let me know.
Want a fresh voice on your blog?
Secondly, are you looking for a writer? Yeah, I’m not sure why, but I’d like to write for some other blogs. I’ve already been asked by a friend to write a post or two in the very near future, but I might be interested in writing for you. Again, send me message letting me know you’re interested, and we may be able to come to an arrangement. I can write about;
- Various aspects of blogging/writing
- WordPress
- Coding and visual aspects of web design
- Photoshop
Those are comfort zones, but if you’ve another topic you’d like me to write about, I might be able to accommodate what you’re looking for.
Summer’s here!
Yeah, it’s summer in Australia! We’ve been working at the churches here for almost 12 months, which is really hard to believe. The thing is, although we’ve probably traveled in excess of 50,000 km, we haven’t been out of South Australia (well, I was in Tasmania for 10 days). God willing, that will change within the next few weeks.
We’re planning to take three weeks or so, to travel east. I haven’t sat down and mapped out the journey as yet, but I’ll be doing that soon. We’re likely to go something like Adelaide, Melbourne (maybe coincide with the Australian Open), Sydney, and maybe even on up to Brisbane. However, that would be quite a bit of driving to say the least, but it’s doable.
Our first issue, is to decide on whether to buy or rent a small campervan. For less than a month, it’s probably best to rent. However, if we could find a very reasonably priced one to buy, and we manage to keep it in one piece, then it could work out more cost efficient than renting. If you’ve got some advice, then please share.
Also, I’d love to hear your recommended places to visit.

Enjoy your trip!
I’d give you some tips, but I’ve never been to any part of Australia…
As for the advertising and guest posts - I sent you an email.
Well…we bought a Toyota stationwagon, when we were in Australia, drove it for 4 months, and sold it for $100 profit !
You probably can’t guarantee that, but if you could limit how much you lose on it…it might be cost effective to buy?
One difference, we bought and sold in Sydney, which might have a higher turnaround and demand for vehicles than Port Lincoln…due to backpackers starting their journey there.
You say campervan…are you planning to sleep in it? If it is anything like our car, which wasn’t mozzie proof, then it might be a nightmare to sleep in. We survived one sleepless night (minus a few litres of blood!), and that was enough!
We used a tent the whole time (except for that first night) and the campsites were very reasonable.
Sounds exciting! Keep us posted what you do! (as if we could stop you!)
Note - I just realised that my contact form hasn’t been working for the past few days. I apologise if you have used it without success.
Brian - Contacted you.
Glenn - We’ll be buying/renting from Adelaide, probably. Although it’s not as heavily populated, South and Western Australia tend to be popular for buying and selling, because they don’t have what we call in the UK, M.O.T.
Mozzie’s got into your car?? Through the air vents, or what? I think I might take some Mortein Barrier Outdoor Spray, and spray it all around the outside of the vehicle we get! That should keep the little beasties away.
Sounds like a fun trip. Come on up to Cairns. It’s only about four days drive from Port Lincoln.
Actually, I’ll be in Sydney, Adelaide, and Melbourne over Christmas.
If you spend any time in Sydney, it’d be worth the trip down the coast to Gerringong (and Nowra beyond). Gerringong’s got an awesome view over the Werri beach, great fish and chips, and if you take a left at the church, there’s an old cemetery overlooking the ocean. One of my favourite places in the world.
Come to WA, the best place to be…
btw if your interested in writing a guest blog, im keen! On my blog you could also write a post about a Christian matter if you want
Jason - Four days non-stop driving, pretty much! I didn’t realise Cairns was home for you, Jason. I take it you’re visiting family over the holidays?
I’ll definitely keep Gerringong in mind. I’m partial to beautiful scenery, particularly coastlines.
If you think of any other places, please let me know. It’s such a vast country, you need to be selective of the very best places to visit.
Jermayn - We’ll probably pay a visit to Perth on our return home. That’s very likely.
As for writing for you, yeah, no problem. Would you like it for a specific date, and do you specifically want a Christian related post?
Nah no real restrictions on what you post or when, just when ever you have free time and with what ever you want to post on. I am just stoked that you agree to post something for me
:D
Hi—Armen: I have several blogs, visit my G34 Media blog, for all the properties, and see which you like to either write in…..or advertise on.
I personally would LOVE to have you guest-write at Groovy Entrepreneur or my latest, G34 Media. Something design like or about Wordpress. You can even showcase some of your beautiful themes.
I’m subscribing to your blog, feel free to contact me through my contact form over at G34.
Missy - You’re definitely keeping yourself busy. Trying to manage a number of blogs is no easy task.
I’ll see what I can do. I have a number of posts I need to write for some people already, along with some design work to do, so my spare time is pretty full already.
I look forward to guest posts when you’re ready. Happy Holidays!
Hey Armen,
Look me up on Google Talk when you can. We’ll talk about advertising space on NiceStylesheet. Got an idea if you’re interested…
