Competition Theme Design Almost Done!

It’s been a hectic few days. We had a pleasant few days with our friends, and then it was back to porridge on Tuesday. However, I had quite a number of things to do, which has prevented me doing what I said I’d do…keep you up-to-date on the development of the theme.

Well, I sat down today in order to start working on it. However, I’m sort of glad to say as I write this, it’s nearly finished!

Are you excited to see it?

I stuck to the six column grid layout, and I’m really happy I decided to do this. As soon as you see the theme, one of the first things you notice is that everything seems to have its place.

I also took advice from those of you who gave it. I was tempted to design a magazine style theme, but, I figured a theme for the masses would be better, so, I stuck to a more traditional layout.

So, you’ll be glad to know it’s minimal, light, wide, has a header image, two sidebars, valid, and will possess a few nice built in features before it’s complete.

I don’t want to give too much away, so I’d appreciate if a few bloggers who have a bit of a clue when it comes to blog design, would leave a comment, letting me know that you’re interested in seeing what it looks like so far.

Also, remember this is for charity!

I have a couple of days left, then I’ll need to zip it up, and send it in. So stay tuned for other updates. I will tell you of other features soon.
