The Strange Providences of the Lord

Strange indeed.

Last night, while speaking on the phone to my mum, she informed me that my grandfather (her father), had been taken into hospital. This afternoon I got another call. I don’t know all the details of what has happened, but it seems as though my ‘Granda’ may be weakening, and most of the family (as far as I’m aware), are at the hospital.

So what’s strange about this? Well in one hour I’ll be going to preach on Genesis 48, where Joseph is informed that his father Jacob is sick. Joseph then makes preparation to go and see him, taking with him his two children, etc…

Strange that I should be preaching this, and at the very same time children and grandchildren of my Granda, are gathering around him as he is sick.

Strange that I should (in a sense) be there, but I’m at the other side of the world preaching on a passage that exactly matches what I would be doing if I wasn’t where I am.

Strange.

Please pray for my family…

I pray that God would reveal His will to you and for you to stay strong no matter what. And that your faith in Him would grow stronger.

May God’s hands be upon your father and grandfather.

The providence of God is amazing. You and you’re family are in my prayers…

Does this mean that I am the very *first* one to officially comment at your new “home”….??

I really like the design Armen. Is this yours or a modified Brian design? Your footer and your about page contradict each other.

    Hello Armen.
A message from David and I:
Although we may be in England, we are still all praying and thinking of him and the rest of the family that Granda may be as content and at peace as is possible, and send our love to everyone.
So although we are all apart from him at this time, we can still show our love and support by our prayers, and by hoping with all our hearts that he is comfortable.
At least we will always know that he is being watched over and protected and none of us are alone in our worry.

    Raffi - Thank you.

    Nath - I appreciate that.

I never noticed your second comment, I don’t think it emailed me to let me know. Yeah, I have to change a few things still. There’s quite a bit of work in moving a busy 9 month blog to a new domain.
