Weekly Open Blog

discuss
Last week there wasn’t too much discussed in any great detail, other than advice given to a young brother on the best way to deal with hardened atheists, who have little patience or time for the gospel. What will it be this week?

The Idea?

Basically you make this post to be whatever you want by commenting. If you want to ask a question about me and my work without feeling it

I’ll get the discussion going today, by answering Joanna’s question, asking how we’re getting on.
We’re getting on really well Jo. Small progresses are evident in many areas of the work. I trust I’m not fooling myself in my belief that God will step down into the area, and begin to work beyond that which we could ask or think.

Armen I would just like to share these few words I found in a 2002 Truth For Youth. “God always does the best for those who leave the choice to Him”

These words came from a tribute about a young girl named Melanie Scott who was saved at an early age and died at 21 years of age and went to be with the Lord which is far better. Melanie had the above words on a poster in her room. Melanie dedicated her life to the Lord in every way and I pray that we will also dedicate our lives to the Lord as much as Melanie did.

It brought tears of joy when I first read the story in knowing that this young girl went to be with the Lord.

I’ll show you the full article some time.

Andrew - Yeah, I think it was Hudson Taylor who said that, and it’s so true.

It’s a very humbling story. In fact, it’s a story which makes me realise I’m not living ‘right’, because if I knew I wasn’t going to wake up in the morning, then I would begin to regret how I’ve used the health, time, and talents God has given me. This is just not good enough.

    Hi!

Its been a few months since my last post! I have been reading your updates that you post - always meant to send a view replies/comments in but keep forgetting to - apologies for that!

Still remembering you & Melanie in prayer. I know that the Lord will continue to use you in His Service - there’s no better place to be!

    God Bless.

    James - Hello brother!

It’s nice to hear from people, but I suppose time doesn’t always permit us to do the things we’d like to do. I’m glad you keep up to date, and pray for us, as that’s what matters most.

Did I hear some good news about you?

James - Well…this news would include someone else in your life. But then, I’ve been hearing of so many getting engaged and married since we’ve left, that maybe I’ve got you mixed up with the others!

James - Congrats!! You’re right about time flying. I couldn’t believe how fast our ‘Day’ came round, but I’ll tell you what…time goes faster after you’re married. I can’t believe it’s over two years since we got married. It’s a bit mad!

A bit of advice, don’t spend the day worrying if everything is going to turn out well. Just relax and enjoy it, it’ll fly past so quickly.

Armen…someone asked me this question today at work, and I thought I would get your opinion on it.

What language do you think Adam & Eve spoke ? ( and why )
    :)

Ian - Ha Ha…can I pass? Surely any guess is mere speculation. Even to say Hebrew, or the language we’ll speak in Heaven (which some think is Hebrew), is still speculative. I’d have to say, I don’t know!

Haven't you got anything to say?
