Some of you may have downloaded and listened to Part 4 in the series on 1 John, and will know therefore, that John highlights the key behind having assurance of salvation. It’s not the fact that you prayed at such-and-such a time, but assurance comes through our obedience to the commandments (1 John 2:3).
Last night, a woman who attends the church in Port Lincoln, asked me if I have ever heard of Paul Washer. I hadn’t, so I searched for him today, and came across the following video clip. Don’t allow the fact that he doesn’t use the AV, or that there’s a drum kit in the background, or that he doesn’t wear a tie, put you off. This man is speaking a truth that many need to hear. As I grow as a believer, a stark reality grows with increasing vividness before me; most ‘Christian’s’ won’t be in Heaven, even among orthadox, reformed circles!
Something which I forbid myself to do, is comfort myself by the fact that my life appears no worse than most of the Christian’s around me. One might appear ’spiritual’ in Northern Ireland, America or Australia, but in India, we’d be heathen’s.
If you have an hour, watch this full clip.

Hey Armen, Richard Kyle here from back in Northern Ireland! I first heard that sermon a few months back and was blown away. Very powerful and very informative and I quickly passed it on to a few Christian friends!
Hope everything is well!

Hi Richard!
How are you? Yeah, a lot of people could do with hearing this message. But more importantly, they could do with acting upon it too!
Things are going well over here. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment; I’m encouraged.
