I’m sure you’ve all been upset that you’ve been starved of your (almost) daily dose from yours truly…apologies if this is the case. It’s probably due to a number of things, but I think it’s primarily because I received so little feedback from a video that took me over an hour to put together. I mean, I’ve never really thought I was one to look for feedback, but on a blog, you find that much of it is driven by feeding off the comments left by visitors.
I’ve another post coming, but this is just to bring a brief update on the past fortnight or so.
Firstly, I can’t go into specific details, but there have been definate encouragements of late, in salvation, and with a small increase in numbers at one of the children’s meetings. To God be the glory!
Also, we’re now well into the South Australian autumn. God has been sending rain, something that many of us have been praying for, but there is a need for much more. Coming from Northern Ireland, it’s difficult to really appreciate the rain, and it’s taken us four months to do so; but Australia has been experiencing one of the worst droughts in its history over recent years, and we’re beginning to understand. For some farmers it has just become too much, and suicide among farmers throughout the country is said to be averaging one every four days.
It’s strange being over here with everything that’s going on back home. No matter how much you try to keep in touch with people, you’re out on a limb over here. It doesn’t bother me, but I’ve been so used to having heaps of information flying in my direction, that it’s sort of wierd to not be experiencing that anymore.
I’ll also just throw this in. You may be surprised, but over the past four months, I have discovered that one of the most difficult aspects of preparing for a meeting, is choosing the psalms, paraphrases, and hymns. Did you ever think about that? I never did before, but now it’s a task that I sometimes wish I could pass to someone else!

suppose that wud be correct, especially trying to get hymns etc to match what u r actually preaching on. it may take time to get to know the hymn book but after that it should be grand. u also ave to be careful that u chose a song that the congregation will recognise and know. hehe! but it will all come together.

I have been guilty of not giving you feedback Armen, i really enjoy reading your blog, its a way of finding out what yous are doing, so be assured we are not taking it for granted. The videos are brill, i really enjoyed the one with you and Brecca, (any more?).
Yeah suppose it must be difficult to get just the right songs to suit the subject you are preaching on. We are all praying for you both.

It’s always a pleasure to drop in on your blog (mostly at lunch break) Even though I don’t comment very often I enjoy the news & the topics under discussion.
As for Hymns you probably do this anyway but on some of the very few occasions I pick a hymn I would sometimes use the index to scripture references at the back of our Hymnbook to tie in with a portion of scripture.
It’s good to hear you have had encouragements . May the Lord bless you and your congregations further & as the physical rain comes after the drought may there be many showers of blessing from God Himself. - There shall be showers of blessing - now there’s a good Hymn.
There have been good numbers coming out to the tent mission at the Agivey so far. Your encouragement was mentioned in a brothers testimoney tonight.

Joanna - Even when you know the hymn book, sometimes you’ve just not sure what to pick.
Taleen - ?
June - I really appreciate the feedback June, from everyone. It helps to stay focused.
No more videos of Brecca just yet, but I should put another one together.
Irwin - Thanks for the encouragement brother. I’ve been kept fairly up-to-date on the mission, so it has been good to hear of the numbers coming in, and the power attending the Word that’s preached.
Haven't you got anything to say?
