Now and then around the blogosphere, you’ll see similar posts on different blogs. Sometimes these posts are a series of questions, and when a blogger answers the questions publically on his/her blog, they ‘tag’ other bloggers to answer the questions.
The other day I was kindly tagged by I.T. Professional, Bob of ReformatThis to answer the 5 main things that surround my life. It’s not the easiest of questions, but here goes.
1. God
For those of you who know me, this goes without saying. Now I’m not saying that I continually live in perfection, making God my number one priority. Sadly, I frequently lose sight of God’s love and mercy, and something else takes number one spot. This is a heart-wrenching reality that is blasphemous in the sight of God.
Having said that, I constantly have a deep urge to truly live for God. I want to be where He wants me to be (even if it means the other side of the world). This isn’t easy to sustain, as anyone who tries will acknowledge. However, it’s well worth it, and for those that are unsure about God, or don’t understand the blessings of true and biblical Christianity, I heartily recommend you to give your life to God, acknowledging Jesus Christ as your Saviour.
2. Work
The only reason I do not put my wife here, is because my work is God’s work. If my ‘job’ was secular, there’s little chance it would appear as my second priority.
However, again I must confess, often my life doesn’t reflect that my labours for God are my second priority. What do I mean? Go and read the life story of George Whitefield, William Tyndale, David Brainard, or someone like W.P. Nicholson - I’m a far cry from the standard of Christian living such men have set.
Would to God I lived more in the light of eternity.
[points 1 and 2 draft in many other finer details that I haven't mentioned, such as seeing people experience the reality of a relationship with God, a burden to see more young Christian men prepare themselves for the ministry, etc]
3. Wife
My wife is far and above, the most important person in my life. I’m not trying to sound soppy, however, every now and then the reality of her goodness and love is deepened within me. Her motivation, dedication, love, sacrificial spirit, concern, and appreciation, testify to her day-by-day growth into becoming a model of a biblical wife.
I’ll stop now before it appears far-fetched!
4. My Family
My family make up an array of diverse characters, ranging from the soft and quiet, to the loud and bubbly; the serrated and sharp, to the conscientious and deliberate; and the creative to the logical. But with all the diversity, there is a considerable level of love and respect for all others. Family get-togethers are always loud and fun. One of the things I love most, is the respect everyone has for my Grandparents. Generally, they do know better, and most within the family recognise that - it’s old fashioned, but it’s beautiful.
In essence; I love my family.
5. My Downtime
My downtime is blogging, browsing the Internet, interacting with other bloggers, and messing about in Photoshop. I really love my downtime. I do confess however, that my relaxing time is very 21st Century. Some people just can’t understand how sitting infront of a screen can be relaxing. I’m not going to explain - I have the same difficulty understanding fishing, playing a musical instrument, yoga, and walking, as relaxing forms of downtime.
So there you have it. I’ve gone into too much detail probably, and touched on things I never needed to.
I now tag 5 others, and encourage them to write about their 5 ‘Obsessive’ Thoughts:
Taleen - my sister.
Tim Ellsworth - A blogging friend whom I greatly respect.
Rebecca Stark - I haven’t had much interaction with Rebecca, but she writes with effort and deliberation, and as she has recently moved her blog (a nasty experience), she could do with a few links ans exposure to her new address.
Alister Cameron - The only Christian Blogologist in world - I think! An excellent blog for bloggers, and an Australian too.
David Airey - I barely know him, but he’s a fellow blogger, and also from Northern Ireland. Consider yourself tagged David!

Many thanks for the mention, Armen.
Hopefully I’ll get around to this soon, although I have a few posts lined up for publishing.
Ciao for now.

David - No problem. I was just trying to spread it around a diverse range of people.
Saman - Hmmm…now there’s a point. Good job I was only limited to five.
Haven't you got anything to say?
