It has been a relatively busy week down under, which has resulted in my blogging hitting its first dry patch, and I still haven’t got part 4 of 1 John so I apologise for that.
Anyway, on Wednesday afternoon we met for a session meeting and then a commitee meeting. There was much to be discussed which i) I can’t tell you, and ii) You wouldn’t care to hear about anyway.
However, one thing we discussed and finalised was my ‘roster’ (or rota), so I would know precisely what is expected of me and where I ought to be at what time, etc.
So the rota covers a two week cycle and goes like this:
Week 1 - 970km
Sunday
Port Lincoln - 11am
Lock - 3pm
Port Lincoln - 6pmTuesday
Lock Children’s Bible Club - 3.30pm
Lock Mid-Week Service - 8pm (may be changed to an earlier time)Wednesday
Port Lincoln Mid-Week Service - 7.30pmThursday
Elliston Mid-Week Service - 5.30pm
Week 2 - 710km
Sunday
Lock - 11am
Elliston - 3pm
Port Lincoln - 6pmTuesday
Lock Children’s Bible Club - 3.30pm
Lock Mid-Week Service - 8pm (may be changed to an earlier time)Wednesday
Port Lincoln Mid-Week Service - 7.30pm
This covers the minimum amount of services in the average week. It has been cut down a little as I am now only taking the Eliston mid-week service on a fortnightly basis.
There will be a few occasions (such as next Friday) were I will also have to speak to the children in Port Lincoln on a Friday afternoon. I’m also hoping that within the next few weeks I’ll be able to begin some outreach on a Friday afternoon. This needs to be done and I’ll probably start by visiting the homes of people who are connected to the church in some way, or used to attend the services.
Please pray for us. I’ve mentioned in the past that if you want to pray for us, ask God to keep us faithful and anoint us with the Spirit. If you remember though, you may also want to pray that God would prevent us from being in any accidents on the roads. I’ve killed off a few birds and animals so far, but they have been small. If we hit a kangaroo or a wombat then there will be serious damage done to the car and I really don’t want that to happen.

Since I wrote this I can add a pigeon to the list. It’s impossible to not hit them, unless you’re prepared to drive at 20km/hr. Most of it happens at dark too, so you barely see it.
I don’t know if your friend from ‘Adelaide’ is using the right word, “loads”, but there are more sharks than you’ll get in most places in the world.
Haven't you got anything to say?
