What is the hottest temperature you’ve ever been in? 50 degrees plus? Well that’s what we were in yesterday. Port Lincoln was around 40C, Lock was about 45C and our car was over 50C!!
Seriously, in the car it felt like we were dangling over a bonfire!! Apparently if you set something like a bic pen on the dashboard it will curl up. I never tried it, but it definately doesn’t sound far fetched. I thought I was going to curl up!
Actually, usually I can stand the heat pretty well, but I think it’s the shirt and trousers (my Sunday best if you like), because I’m fine when wearing my shorts and t-shirt.
What about preaching in that heat? Not ideal to be honest. I mean, I perspire when preaching in Northern Ireland. Most preachers do, it’s a mixture of two things; activity and nerves. But in 40C heat, you don’t need either of these to find yourself sweating perpetually.
However, you get through it. As with everything, you’ve no other choice. It doesn’t make me yearn for home though you’ll be glad to know.
Part 4 in the series in 1 John should be up shortly.

Awh man, that sounds hot. Classic. Not for preaching in though…quite the opposite. Take it that automobile doesn’t have air con?? Cus it wouldn’t bother you in the slightest if it did. My car in Crete was grand with air con on.
P.S. Love your titles…some very witty. Xx

Taleen - It’s really not nice to be doing anything in, never mind preaching. The car does have A/C but it’s not working very well at all. I’m driving another car at the minute, but I don’t know how long I’ll have it. It is A LOT better.
P.S. Serious comment spree you’ve went on here
