Series in 1 John (Part 2)

Well folks, today has been rather frustrating. As I said the other day, I would begin to upload the series I am doing in 1 John. I thought it would be a simple matter of uploading the file, but when I looked at it I realised that the file was far too large; around 30mb, whereas the same length of file on Sermon Audio would be around 5mb.

So I began to search for software to lower what is known as the ‘bitrate’, and I eventually came across ‘Audacity’ which is free. However, for some reason their site is down today, so I tried elsewhere. I then found ‘Electronic Cosmo’s MPEG Suite’ which is also free, but it can only lower the bitrate to 48kbps (and I was hoping for 16kbps).

So as it stands, the file is half the size it was, but it’s still 14mb which is too large for those of you not yet on broadband (get with it ;) ). I’ll see what I can do in when Audacity gets up and running again.

I also started to mess around with the site design (bad idea), and I’ve changed from one theme to the next and although I’m liking this ‘Cutline‘ theme, there is alot of editing needed in the code which takes time that I just don’t have.

I also have a few emails to reply to. I’m sure there’s a reason why the Lord created a ‘day’ to be around 24 hours, but I just can’t figure out why…most of us need more!!

Anyway, to download part 2 of the series, click on ‘download’ below. As I said yesterday the day before yesterday, I never recorded part 1, but I’ve already received a request to record it (wouldn’t you love to be a fly on the wall if I preach it to myself in my study…) so that might happen, but I don’t know when.

Download 1 John 1:5-10 (Part 2)

P.S. Please remember that I’m still a novice, if you download this (or any other) sermon, don’t be expecting Dr. Alan Cairns or the like!

How do I download your messages??

It takes me straight to eSnips (which I’ve signed up for) and then what do I do?

Ok…I didn’t realise that you’d have to sign up to be able to download from there.

Leave it with me folks…I’ll try and resolve this issue asap. You shouldn’t have to sign up to anything before downloading so I’ll fix that.
