Some of you may have been wondering what I’m preaching on at the services here in South Australia. Well, for the most part so far it’s been rather varied. However, for the past three Sundays I’ve been going through the book of 1 John. It’s been interesting and instructive even for myself, but the preparation is alot different to what I’m used to. What do I mean?
Well, at home I just had to prepare for meetings now and then. Maybe I would be reading something in the scriptures and the Lord would bring something to my attention very clearly and I would be able at some stage to develop the thoughts further.
But whenever the pressure is on to bring two or three messages a week, it makes things a little more difficult, especially when you’re a novice like yours truely.
Because of that, I looked at putting together a series or two and I felt led of the Lord to look at 1 John, and I may look at doing a character study for the midweek services too.
I just know some of you would love to hear my sermons (I have no idea why), so I have been using my mp3 player (with voice recording) to record the last two messages on 1 John (I missed the first week). So some time in the very near future you should be able to catch these messages (and future messages of course) on this blog for you to download and listen to.
