Not too much to update on at this stage. The three Sabbath services went well on Sunday past. There were a few key answers to prayer regarding people who attended the services, and most seemed to enjoy the word that was spoken.
In a sense, Sunday was also a landmark day for Melanie. As some of you may know, Mel likes to play the piano and has been doing her grades for many years. However, going through your grades and playing church hymns are two completely different things, especially when you didn’t grow up in a church environment.
Now in Port Lincoln, the wife of one of the elders plays the organ, and now that I’m here, her husband doesn’t have to lead the services anymore so he now plays the piano with her. But last Sunday they were away and so Mel consented to play instead.
As expected she was very nervous, but the Lord really helped her and she got through it without too many problems. I think she’s really happy that she managed to break the ice in doing this. I don’t think she would ever have imagined herself playing for a congregation.
Yesterday we had a pleasant surprise when a friend of mine that I have known for almost twenty years, arrived on our doorstep with his girlfriend.
Both of them have been in Australia for over three years now, and prior to that they were in Dublin for a year or two, so it has been quite a while since I’ve spent more than a day or two with them, and it was all before Mel and I were Christians.
But now that we’re at the other side of the world, we’re getting the chance to spend a good bit of time with them which is really nice.
It’s 10:30am and we had planned to go on a tour around one of the local fish factories with them, but they need at least six people before they will have the tour and there was only the four of us so we couldn’t go. We’ll maybe get to go tomorrow.
Now though I think we’ll head up to Coffin Bay, but this time I think we’ll go to Coffin National Park so hopefully we’ll have some nice pictures to show.

Thanks, I’m glad you like it (the site and the blue hair
)
The people are really dead on. The people I’ve met at least. They are very warm and friendly which we’re really thankful for.
Glad you’re progressing in that pansy sport, But do you not remember what I told you? Rugby is just a sport for those who are useless at football!!
Haven't you got anything to say?
