My first post!

Finally, my first proper blog! I’ve messed about with ‘blogger’ blogs before, but I always wanted to have my own independantly hosted Wordpress blog. As it turned out, I was given a good reason (best way to keep family and friends updated on what’s going on in Oz) to figure out just how to set up one of these things. Now I’m no ‘webdesignguru’ so setting this up wasn’t without one or two headaches, but in hindsight, it’s really not all that difficult (mainly down to Rachel Cunliffe’s tutorial). However, there are a few things to watch out for, and as a result I’m thinking of having a seperate page outlining how to get your own Wordpress blog up and running.

Anyway, I leave it there for now. It’s past my bedtime and I’ve got work in the morning.
